Niewiadów S.A. is expanding its 155 mm ammunition production model. A complementary industrial system, the "Niewiadów Ammunition Ring," is being established.

Grupa Niewiadów S.A., a subsidiary of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna S.A., has notified the Armaments Agency of the Ministry of National Defense of the expansion of its 155-mm artillery ammunition production model in connection with the ongoing investment in the construction of a factory for this caliber of ammunition in Poland.

Part of the project’s implementation involves establishing a complementary system of industrial cooperation with partners from Poland and other European countries. This system has been launched as an integrated industrial model called the “Niewiadów Ammunition Ring.”

The aim of the project is to ensure stable production capacity, enhance the security of supply for key components, and establish a redundant European industrial supply chain to support the planned production of 155-mm artillery ammunition.

The comprehensive production model involves collaboration with a strategic technology partner—one of Europe’s leading ammunition manufacturers—and a network of specialized industrial companies involved in the production of ammunition components and subassemblies.

The Niewiadów Ammunition Cluster encompasses the entire production chain for the manufacture of 155-mm artillery ammunition sets that are compatible
with NATO-standard artillery systems, including the howitzers in service with the Polish Armed Forces.

The production technology is based on solutions used by NATO countries and proven in operational use.

The target production capacity being developed through investment in the ammunition plant and cooperation within the “Niewiadów Ammunition Ring” brings the company closer to achieving an annual production volume of up to 180,000 sets of 155-mm artillery ammunition.

The project model calls for a gradual increase in the share of domestic industrial capabilities while maintaining a diversified and stable component supply chain.

The supply chain for materials and components for the project has been organized entirely within the European Union, which helps ensure supply security and mitigate risks associated with global logistical disruptions and export restrictions.

According to the information provided, the Niewiadów Group states that it will be able to begin the first deliveries of artillery ammunition in the second half of 2026, following the completion of the required qualification and certification procedures.

The ongoing "Niewiadów Ammunition Ring" project is part of a broader strategy to develop production capabilities and is designed to enable their future use within NATO’s multinational procurement programs, including through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), thereby supporting the security of ammunition supplies for Alliance nations.
