The Niewiadów Polish Military Group has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Czech company Explosia

Zakłady Sprzętu Precyzyjnego Niewiadów, a subsidiary of Niewiadów Polska Grupa Militarna S.A. (NPGM), signed a memorandum of cooperation today with the Czech state-owned company Explosia a.s. The agreement is a key element in the implementation of a broader project to build a comprehensive technology and production chain for 155 mm artillery ammunition in Poland.

The main objective of the cooperation is to secure supplies of key high-energy materials and modular charges necessary for the planned ammunition production. In particular, the agreement covers access to strategic raw materials such as RDX and PETN.

The signed memorandum is part of the Group’s ongoing strategy to integrate expertise in ammunition design, research, testing, and production. In this model, the Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU) is responsible for design development, ballistic testing, and solution validation, while Niewiadów–PGM develops the production and implementation infrastructure. The collaboration with Explosia complements this model by providing access to key materials and components.

The memorandum signed with Explosia is a significant step toward building a stable and independent supply chain for ammunition production. “This cooperation will allow us to secure access to strategic raw materials and develop research and development projects based on the highest technological standards,” emphasizes Krystian Gąsior, President of the Management Board of ZSP Niewiadów.

The agreement also provides for cooperation in research and development and the use of the ZSP Niewiadów testing facilities, including a range equipped to conduct ballistic tests of ammunition, including calibers up to 155 mm, in accordance with NATO standards.

The partnership between Niewiadów and PGM is part of a strategy to strengthen Europe’s defense capabilities. The combination of the Czech Republic’s raw material base with Poland’s technological infrastructure lays a solid foundation for long-term cooperation in the field of modern ammunition, notes Tomáš Rubáček, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Explosia a.s.

The parties also pledged to cooperate on production capacity planning and demand forecasting, with the aim of responding effectively to growing market needs.

The memorandum has been signed for a period of five years. The commencement of operational cooperation will be contingent upon the conclusion of detailed implementing agreements.
