Niewiadów Precision Equipment Works, part of the Niewiadów Group, has signed a contract with the Armaments Agency to supply PŁOMIEŃ signal mines to the Polish Armed Forces. Under the contract, between 24,500 and 44,500 units of this specialized equipment will be delivered between 2025 and 2027.
It is worth noting that in 2025, Polska Grupa Militarna S.A., listed on NewConnect, merged with Grupa Niewiadów S.A., resulting in the creation of a new capital group with enhanced technological and operational capabilities.
The signing of the contract with the Armaments Agency for the supply of PŁOMIEŃ signal flares is a significant milestone for us. This contract not only strengthens our Group’s order book but also confirms the high level of trust the Armaments Agency has placed in us. We are proud that our expertise and manufacturing experience have once again been recognized by government institutions responsible for national security. The execution of this contract will be a key element in the Group’s further development, while also serving as an expression of our contribution to building a modern, integrated, and effective national defense system,” emphasizes Grzegorz Niedzielski, President of the Management Board of PGM S.A. and the Niewiadów S.A. Group.
Niewiadów Precision Equipment Works has signed a contract with the Armaments Agency for the delivery of PŁOMIEŃ signal mines. Under the contract, between 2025 and 2027, ZSP will deliver—depending on the final scope of the order—no fewer than 24,500 and no more than 44,500 PŁOMIEŃ signal mines, with the majority of deliveries to be made in 2026 and 2027.
It should also be noted that the PŁOMIEŃ signal mines are different from the mines the Group reported on July 1—at that time, the announcement concerned the development of capabilities for large-scale production of anti-personnel mines.
The PŁOMIEŃ signal flare is designed to protect military facilities, storage areas, border crossings, etc., serving as a warning and signaling device.
A company in the defense sector
The merger of Polska Grupa Militarna S.A., listed on the NewConnect stock exchange, with Grupa Niewiadów S.A., a recognized manufacturer of specialized equipment and solutions for the military and civilian sectors, has resulted in the creation of a new corporate group with enhanced operational and technological capabilities.
The integrated entity operates in the defense sector in the broadest sense. The Group also includes companies specializing in the development of unmanned systems (drones), dual-use products, military logistics, and advanced technologies for the military. The Group holds a license from the Ministry of the Interior and Administration for the production and storage of ammunition, the trade in military products, and develops advanced solutions tailored to the needs of the modern battlefield.
One of the Group’s most important assets is ZSP Niewiadów —a company with over 100 years of history in defense manufacturing and experience supplying the Polish Armed Forces. The Group is currently implementing a strategic project to build a modern 155mm ammunition factory, addressing the growing defense needs of Poland and its allies. 155 mm ammunition is a key component of military equipment worldwide.
Thanks to the scale of its operations, complementary areas of expertise, and state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, the Group has established itself as a leading defense industry holding company—one of the most comprehensive and rapidly growing private entities in the country. The Group’s products are sold both domestically and internationally.
