The Niewiadów-PGM S.A. Group with international contracts at MSPO

During the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO), the Niewiadów-PGM S.A. Group signed four international cooperation agreements—with LPP s.r.o., based in Prague; ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering Pte. Ltd. based in Singapore, as well as two with Island Ordnance Systems LLC from the United States. The Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) concern cooperation in areas such as innovative defense technologies and represent a significant step in building the Group’s position in the international defense market.

In addition, the Group signed a letter of intent with the Czech company Vojenský technický ústav, s.p., regarding exclusive cooperation on the production in Poland of 60-mm mortar ammunition for the Polish Armed Forces.

The International Defense Industry Exhibition is one of the key events on the global defense industry calendar, attracting hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors from around the world each year. During the exhibition, the Niewiadów-PGM Group drew significant attention, showcasing both its extensive product range and its growth prospects.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LPP s.r.o., based in Prague, underscores the Group’s ambitious growth plans . This agreement paves the way for broad industrial cooperation in such innovative areas as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), ammunition projects—including mines and pyrotechnics—and the Antos smart mortar. Both parties have committed to conducting negotiations aimed at concluding final agreements and implementing joint activities covering, among other things, development, production, and industrial cooperation. An exclusivity clause has also been established, underscoring the strategic nature of this partnership.

The second MoU signed concerned cooperation with ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore. The agreement covers the initiation of a technology transfer process aimed at launching the production in Poland of 40 mm ammunition for automatic and single-shot grenade launchers. The signing of the Memorandum represents a significant step in the development of domestic defense industry capabilities, building technological sovereignty, and strengthening international partnerships in the field of modern defense solutions. 40 mm ammunition is widely used by NATO armed forces and in global markets, and its growing demand is linked to the modernization of allied armies, increased orders resulting from the current geopolitical situation, and the development of specialized variants, such as smoke, illumination, and programmable ammunition.

In addition, two more MoUs were signed with Island Ordnance Systems LLC of the United States during MSPO. The first agreement concerns technology transfer and the launch of production in Poland of mines that are standard equipment for NATO forces. The second covers the expansion of cooperation in the area of 2.75-inch unguided rockets (MK66 system), under which IOS will supply key components, documentation, and know-how, while ZSP will handle assembly, production, and testing domestically.

A letter of intent was also signed with the Czech Vojenský technický ústav, s.p. The agreement provides for cooperation in the sale, marketing, and production of 60 mm mortar ammunition (including HEF, HEI, SMK, and PR-S) intended for the Polish Armed Forces. Production will take place in Poland, and the products will be marked “Made in Poland (by ZSP Niewiadów for VTÚ).” The cooperation is exclusive to the Polish market and will be formalized in a contract within 12 months.

“Our participation in MSPO can be considered a complete success. Among other things, the event featured a live broadcast of a 155 mm artillery firing, which allowed us to showcase our new research and development center in Niewiadów. Above all, however, we signed international agreements that align with our vision for growth, strengthen our capabilities in the field of advanced defense technologies, and open up new markets for us. “This is proof that we are consistently building a strong position for the Group both in Poland and abroad,” says Grzegorz Niedzielski, President of the Management Board of the Niewiadów-PGM S.A. Group.

A publicly traded company in the defense sector.

As of July 16, 2025, the Group has been operating under the new name Grupa Niewiadów-PGM S.A. The merger of Polska Grupa Militarna S.A., listed on the NewConnect stock exchange, with Grupa Niewiadów S.A., a recognized manufacturer of special-purpose equipment and solutions for the military and civilian sectors, has led to the creation of a new capital group with enhanced operational and technological capabilities.

The integrated entity operates in the defense sector in the broadest sense. The Group also includes companies specializing in the development of unmanned systems (drones), dual-use products, military logistics, and advanced technologies for the military. The Group holds a license from the Ministry of the Interior and Administration for the production and storage of ammunition, the trade in military products, and develops advanced solutions tailored to the needs of the modern battlefield.
One of the most important assets is ZSP Niewiadów—a company with over 100 years of history in arms manufacturing and experience in supplying the Polish Armed Forces. Currently, the Group is implementing a strategic project to build a modern 155 mm ammunition factory, responding to the growing defense needs of Poland and its allies. 155 mm ammunition is a key component of military equipment worldwide.

Thanks to the scale of its operations, complementary areas of expertise, and state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, the Group has established itself as a leading defense industry holding company—one of the most comprehensive and rapidly growing private entities in the country. The Group’s products are sold both domestically and internationally.
