Grupa Niewiadów S.A. ready to start production of mines

ZSP Niewiadów, part of the Niewiadów Group and a renowned manufacturer of weapons for the Polish Armed Forces, has made a strategic decision to restart and develop its large-scale anti-personnel mine production capabilities. The company has all the necessary technical documentation and infrastructure in place to quickly launch production processes.

The decision to intensify work in this area is directly related to the act passed in June 2025 on Poland's withdrawal from the Ottawa Convention, a treaty banning the use, stockpiling, production, and transfer of anti-personnel mines. According to the cautious assumptions of the Management Board ZSP Niewiadów , this decision may translate into a significant increase in the revenues of ZSP Niewiadów and the scale of operations of the Niewiadów Group. It should be recalled that in 2025, Polska Grupa Militarna S.A., listed on NewConnect, merged with Grupa Niewiadów S.A., resulting in the creation of a new capital group with enhanced technological and operational potential.

In connection with the decision to restore the use, storage, production, and transfer of anti-personnel mines in Poland, ZSP Niewiadów is in a unique position to take on this strategic challenge. We have not only complete technical documentation, but also a developed infrastructure and experience in the processing of explosives. We are prepared for this important task, both technologically and operationally. We will do everything we can to respond efficiently to the new needs of the Polish Armed Forces. Our goal is to restore Poland's industrial sovereignty in the area of mine production and to provide the national army with access to this key component of the defense system, emphasizes Grzegorz Niedzielski, President of the Management Board of PGM S.A. and Grupa Niewiadów S.A.

ZSP Niewiadów has expertise in the processing of explosives – from pressing and elaboration to completion and final assembly. Thanks to the investments made, the Group's plant has significantly increased its technological capabilities in the area of prefabrication of explosives. The investment measures taken will enable full production capacity to be achieved within the next several months.

Currently, at the request of the Armament Agency, the Group manufactures and supplies two key engineering products: Universal Cumulative Charges (UŁK), used, among other things, to create concealed firing positions in hard ground and to destroy military equipment, as well as ZLT-50 friction-fuse detonators used to initiate explosive charges.

As part of its development strategy, ZSP Niewiadów is implementing an investment project involving the construction of a modern Elaboration Plant and the creation of the Polish Center for Prefabrication of Explosive Materials – specializing in processes related to the production of mines, among other things. The start of mass production of anti-personnel mines, using the technology of flooding and pressing of explosives, is planned for 2027.

A publicly traded company in the defense sector

The merger of Polska Grupa Militarna S.A., listed on the NewConnect stock exchange, with Grupa Niewiadów S.A., a recognized manufacturer of special-purpose equipment and solutions for the military and civilian sectors, has led to the creation of a new capital group with enhanced operational and technological potential.

The integrated entity operates in the broadly understood defense sector. The Group also includes companies specializing in the development of unmanned systems (drones), dual-use products, military logistics, and modern technologies for the military. The Group holds a license from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration for the production and storage of ammunition, trade in military products, and develops advanced solutions that meet the needs of the modern battlefield.

One of the most important assets is ZSP Niewiadów – a company with over 100 years of history in arms production and experience in supplying the Polish Armed Forces. Currently, the Group is implementing a strategic project to build a modern 155 mm caliber ammunition factory, responding to the growing defense needs of Poland and its allies. 155 mm caliber ammunition is a key element of the equipment of armed forces around the world.

Thanks to the scale of its operations, complementary high-level expertise, and modern technological facilities, the Group forms a strong defense industry holding company—one of the most comprehensive and dynamically developing private entities in the country. The Group's products are sold both on the domestic market and for export.
