The Management Board of Polska Grupa Militarna S.A., with its registered office in Warsaw (“the Issuer”), announces that a team dedicated to the development and commercialization of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) has been established within the Issuer. Unmanned aerial systems, often referred to as drones, are technologically advanced devices capable of performing tasks in the air without a pilot directly on board.
The team, established by the Issuer, comprises specialists from various fields, underscoring the interdisciplinary nature of this project.
The Issuer’s UAV project covers both technical and operational aspects, incorporating the latest advancements in automation, robotics, as well as navigation and communication systems. The Issuer notes that design work had already been conducted previously, commissioned by the Issuer. The results of this work, in the form of preliminary prototypes and concepts, led to the decision to formalize the Issuer’s activities in this area and establish a dedicated team.
The issuer expects that a fully functional drone prototype will be unveiled in February 2024, while field testing of the drone will begin in March 2024. The Issuer also expects that an observation drone with a range of 30–50 km will be developed first, followed by work on creating a strike drone. The issuer expects that its surveillance UAV will have a wide range of applications, including monitoring, technical inspections, photogrammetry, as well as rescue and logistics operations.
